Abstract
The occupational well-being of teachers is a component that plays a significant role in the healthy performance of teachers at work. This research was conducted with the aim of investigating the mediating role of organizational commitment in the relationship between psychological capital and occupational well-being among teachers. The current research was of correlation and structural equation modeling. The statistical population included all of the primary school teachers at the district 4 of Karaj city during the academic year of 2022-2023, of whom 323 were selected using convenience sampling. The data collection tool included psychological capital questionnaire, organizational commitment scale and occupational well-being questionnaire. The results showed a significant positive correlation between psychological capital with occupational well-being and organizational commitment, and a significant positive correlation between organizational commitment and occupational well-being. Finally, organizational commitment has a mediating role in the relationship between psychological capital and occupational well-being of teachers, and the hypothetical model of the research had a very good fit to data. It seems that organizational commitment is an essential element in the relationship between psychological capital and occupational well-being, through which people experience better occupational well-being. Accordingly, this model can be used in the education department and other organizations.
